Aunt Chloe is a student-edited literary magazine that advocates for diverse representations of black women’s experiences. We support individuals confronting the consequences of tyranny and cultural indifference with their compositions across modes. Aunt Chloe publishes all kinds of artistic production including poetry, short stories, essays, interviews, art, and media. Within these broad categories, we welcome submissions in both document and multimedia formats in order to bring awareness to our wide range of intellectual and creative energies.

Cultural Appropriation Policy
Although the majority of our contributors are black women, we welcome participation across the boundaries of race, gender, class, and sexuality with the hope that our creations will craft a more inclusive society.
Aunt Chloe is edited and produced annually by a student-run editorial board with strong support from the English Department. The ideas expressed in Aunt Chloe do not necessarily reflect that of Spelman College.
